The Glendale Valley Municipal Authority (GVMA) is seeking resumes for operators for their 450,000 GPD activated sludge wastewater treatment plant and 220,000 GPD water treatment plant, both located in White Township, Cambria County. A Class C Wastewater Certification or Class C Water Certification is required, with preference given to operators holding both certificates.
The wastewater treatment process consists of a pump station, influent screen, equalization tank, three-train anoxic/aeration tank, sludge holding tank, mechanical clarifiers, nutrient filter, ultraviolet disinfection, sludge belt press, metering and outfall. In addition, there are five collection system pump stations that are to be monitored / maintained.
The water process consists of well sources treated with a greensand filter, potassium permanganate feed and chlorine disinfection. The distribution system contains two finished water storage tanks, a community hydropneumatic tank and a booster pump station.
